What Is Pole Dancing?

Pole dancing is a performing art form that combines dance and gymnastics. Although pole dance is often seen in strip clubs, it is also regarded by many as a form of exercise. During pole dancing, the dancer makes use of various materials of pole depending on the type desired as a support tool to perform acrobatic tricks either by propelling themselves around it or by suspending off it.


What are the different types of Pole?

Polished steel is a slick material, providing for a faster and more fluid dance. A steel pole is great choice for spins. Other than that, Brass poles provide more friction, allowing for an easier hold during inverts and poses. The brass creates a slow, sensual dance style.

1)      Builds Self-Confidence

Classes will give women a better body and a sexy attitude – no matter what size they are! They might not graduate into a career that requires size-two panties and a sparkly halter top, but they will appreciate their womanly figure and sexy curves more after they have learned how to flaunt them in pole-dancing class. Women gain the confidence to dig those form-fitting clothes out of the back of the closet and start wearing them proudly again.

Pole dance requires dancers to have tremendous strength, endurance and flexibility. Intense pole dancing increases muscle strength and tone as it uses the body as resistance, and can be used as either an aerobic or anaerobic workout. It’s also a fantastic Cardio! Pole dancing is the best way to keep your heart healthy is to get it pumping. Cardio exercise is essential for keeping your heart and lungs in tip-top condition. And dancing is a time-tested, doctor-approved way of getting the blood moving.

The best thing about pole dancing is the freedom is gives them. Women can freedom to choose a healthy way to get stronger. They get a great workout while having fun. It doesn’t feel hectic like a gym can. Women get freedom from shame about their body. Because pole teaches them that everybody is beautiful and everyone can find moves that work for them.

4)      Emotional Healing
When they are stressed, adrenaline starts slowly building up in their body, making them anxious, easily annoyed and depressed. An intense pole dancing session will help them to blow out all that adrenaline and cause their body to start producing endorphins, the hormone associated with feelings of euphoria. They will be calmer and happier after a good workout.

5)      Much Easier to fall asleep
Resting is just as important for a healthy body as working out and eating the right food. Unfortunately a lot of women get not enough sleep and most of the time it’s because they just can’t go to sleep. Regular workouts that tax the body, combined with the stretching they do as part of  their pole dancing training, will ensure that they get a good night’s sleep every time they hit the hay.
